Cynthia Instructor
Since graduating with a Bachelor of Education in 1994, Cynthia has gained a wealth of experience in the teaching profession throughout Sydney and London.
Combining this with extensive Egyptian dance studies, Cynthia offers a solid understanding of Oriental dance, with classes that focus on more than just the physical aspect of the dance, but also the historical, cultural and spiritual.
Further to her credentials of being a highly qualified teacher, Cynthia has just recently returned from Cairo where she has completed the “Ahalan Wa Sahlan” 2007 Winter International Intensive Teachers Course organised by the Master Instructor Raqia Hassan.
A popular instructor, Cynthia specialises in Egyptian belly dance, but also teaches aspects of other styles. Her teaching method is clear, precise and dynamic, as well as patient and empathetic, with an aim to bring out the best in every student – from the absolute beginner to the advanced.
“I believe that through clear, informed instruction, positive reinforcement and a little bit of humour, anyone can learn to belly dance if they really want to!” Cynthia
